Z-Folding Container House Ships Ten Units per 40HQ and Unfolds in Minutes On Site
Ten Cabins, One Container: What Folding Really Changes
The Z-folding container house is finished at the factory, then folds on Z-shaped hinge lines into a slim package. Ten complete 6 m units fit into one 40HQ container. That single number changes the economics of a project: ocean freight is paid on packed volume, not on the volume the building occupies once it is open, so freight cost per cabin falls to a fraction of flat-rack delivery.
On site the walls swing out, the roof lifts into position and the joints lock. Wiring and fittings were installed and tested before shipment and stay connected through the hinge, so commissioning is limited to bringing in mains power and water.

Scenarios Where Folding Pays Off Most
A site reachable only by a narrow access road. The folded package unloads with a standard forklift, so neither a crane nor a wide corridor is needed to position the cabin.
A phased project that must store buildings between phases. The closed unit can be locked and left on site without damage to interiors, which is rarely practical with an assembled cabin.
A contractor redeploying every six months. One purchase serves project after project, and because the electrical installation travels with the building, each move costs a connection rather than a re-installation.
Hot, coastal or high-rainfall regions. The Class A non-combustible rock wool core and 180 degree standing seam roof are specified for exactly these conditions, which also satisfies fire documentation requirements on many industrial sites.
Where It Is Normally Used
- Site offices and site canteens
- Dormitory annexes and labour accommodation
- Guard houses and checkpoint cabins
- Mobile clinics and first-aid rooms
- Equipment control rooms and ticket booths
- Relief and emergency housing
Quality and Ordering
Every unit is opened, loaded and inspected before packing: frame squareness, hinge alignment, seal compression, electrical safety and water tightness of the folded joint. CE marking, ISO 9001 documentation and third-party inspection are available on request, with structural calculations for local wind and snow conditions.
Layout, sanitary pod, kitchenette, air conditioning, solar power, window position and external colour can all be adapted. Send us the quantity, destination port and layout preference for a technical proposal and quotation.
