Detachable Container House Range Adds Climate-Engineered Models for Saudi Heat, Outback Wind and Snow
Nachrichten Detail

One Platform, Four Climates

Detachable container houses fail for a predictable reason: they are specified for a mild climate and then installed in an extreme one. Global House (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. now offers climate-engineered variants of its 18m² detachable platform, each configured for a specific environment and each built on the same 2.3–3.0mm galvanized steel frame, MGO flooring and 8–10 year design life.

Environment-to-Specification Matrix

EnvironmentKey ChallengeEngineering Response
Saudi Arabia desert45°C-plus heat, dust, solar loadPU insulation, wood-grain panels, sealed security windows
Western Australia outbackCyclonic wind, iron-ore dust, isolationRock wool sandwich panels, weatherproof sealing, white galvanized frame
Iceland resortsHeavy snow load, freeze-thaw cyclingReinforced roof structure, insulated envelope, upper walkway balcony with external stairs
Chile civil defenceFire safety in emergency field hospitalsGrade-A fire-rated rock wool insulation, MGO flooring, sealed service penetrations

In each case the unit remains a flat-pack detachable module, so the logistics advantage is unchanged: eighteen sets per 40HQ container, a three-hour assembly by four workers and stacking up to three floors.

Desert Configuration

For Saudi Arabian projects the wall assembly uses polyurethane (PU) insulation bonded into wood-look panels, cutting heat transfer through the envelope while presenting a finish suited to staff housing and site offices. Security windows with restricted opening reduce dust ingress and satisfy site access rules. Reference units have been supplied for desert construction camps where daytime temperatures routinely exceed 45°C.

Outback Configuration

Western Australian sites subject the envelope to two opposing forces: cyclonic wind loads and abrasive iron-ore dust. Rock wool sandwich panels provide both mechanical rigidity and non-combustible insulation, while the white galvanized frame reduces solar gain. Door and window assemblies use weatherproof gaskets, and service penetrations are sealed to prevent dust tracking into accommodation and switch rooms.

Cold-Climate Configuration

Icelandic resort projects require the roof structure to carry sustained snow load without deflection. Units are specified with reinforced roof framing, a continuous insulated envelope and a raised walkway balcony served by external stairs — a two-level arrangement that keeps circulation outside the thermal envelope and preserves interior floor area for guest use.

Fire-Rated Configuration

The civil defence transition shelter programme delivered to Chile used Grade-A fire-rated rock wool insulated living suites, configured as field medical rooms and staff quarters. MGO flooring was selected for its dimensional stability and fire performance, and all electrical penetrations were sealed. This configuration is now available as a standard option for humanitarian, healthcare and institutional buyers.

Why Climate Specification Pays

  • Compliance — meets local building, fire and cyclone requirements at the first inspection
  • Lifespan — prevents the condensation, corrosion and panel delamination that shorten service life
  • Energy cost — insulation reduces air-conditioning and heating load over the whole service period
  • Resale value — relocatable units retain value when the envelope is intact

Documentation Supplied

Every order ships with structural calculations, insulation specification sheets, and certification including Triple ISO (9001, 14001, 45001), CE marking, UL-listed electrical components for US projects and asbestos-free declarations for Australian importers. Global House (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has manufactured modular accommodation since 2012, exports to over 30 countries and holds monthly capacity of 2,000 detachable and 300 expandable units.

Specify by Site, Not by Catalogue

Share your project location, altitude, wind zone, snow load and fire class, and the engineering team will return a matched wall, roof and glazing specification, together with a freight plan based on 18 sets per 40HQ. Custom branding, layout and fit-out are available on all climate variants.
