Product Description
Roller Shutter Prefab Outdoor Kitchen for Tropical, Nordic & Middle East Backyards
Product Overview
This prefab outdoor kitchen is the roller-shutter build. The whole front elevation closes with an electrically operated roller shutter, so at the end of the evening the kitchen does not have to be emptied, covered with a tarp or carried back indoors — the shutter runs down and the unit is shut. What stays inside is everything: the cabinets, the marble benchtop, the sink, the range hood, the under-bench refrigerator and the oven, all of it sitting behind a closed face rather than under a loose cover that the wind takes off in the first storm of the season.
That single mechanism is what makes the unit work across four very different climates. In tropical Southeast Asia it is the monsoon and the constant humidity that destroy outdoor kitchens, and a closed shutter keeps driving rain and salt-laden air off the bench and the appliances between uses. On a Nordic or Canadian lakeside deck it is snow, freeze-thaw and long months of disuse, and a closed face means the cooking zone is not a snow trap. In a European backyard the shutter simply makes the kitchen seasonal-proof. In a Gulf or Middle East courtyard it is sun, wind-blown dust and fine sand, which a closed shutter keeps off the surfaces entirely.
The unit is free-standing: it sits on a level base, needs a supply connection, and does not have to be built into a wall or a retaining structure, so it can be sited on a timber deck, a paved terrace or a courtyard slab without groundwork. The frame is Q235B galvanised steel tube — 60 × 80 × 2.0 mm posts and 80 × 80 × 2.0 mm / 40 × 60 × 1.5 mm base beams — finished in an electrostatic powder coat, with an aluminium composite outer wall over an internal impact-resistant board. External dimensions are 940 × 2980 × 2480 mm, and eight complete units load into a single 40ft container.

Key Features
- Electric roller shutter — the front closes at the touch of a switch, so the kitchen comes back to a clean, dry bench next time instead of a grit-covered one that has to be washed down before you can use it.
- Built for four climates — specified for tropical monsoon humidity, Nordic and Canadian snow and freeze-thaw, European seasonal use and Middle East sun and dust, because all four put the same demand on an outdoor kitchen: a closed face between uses.
- Lockable-away convenience — the closed unit is out of sight as well as out of the weather, which suits holiday homes, short-stay rentals and courtyards where the cooking equipment should not be on display when the owners are away.
- Kitchen already fitted — cabinets, marble benchtop, sink, range hood, refrigerator cabinet and oven are installed at the factory in the specification tier you choose.
- Lighting built in — an LED strip along the roof edge plus recessed downlights, wired from the unit's own distribution box, so the cooking zone stays usable after sunset.
- Eight units to a 40ft container — the closed envelope is compact enough for volume orders, which keeps per-unit freight down on long-haul routes.

What the Shutter Actually Protects
The shutter buys you three things that a cover and a bit of discipline do not. The first is the bench. Marble and stainless both suffer from the same three enemies outdoors — airborne salt, wind-blown grit and standing water — and all three arrive during the hours the kitchen is not in use. The second is the appliance package: a range hood, a refrigerator cabinet and an oven are the most expensive components on the unit and the least tolerant of being rained on. The third is the kitchen's condition between seasons, which is what decides whether a backyard kitchen is still usable in year five or has quietly become a storage shelf.
Opening the unit is a powered operation rather than a manual one, which matters more than it sounds on a unit this size: there is no folding, no propping and no reaching over a wet bench to get at a strap. When the shutter is up, the cooking zone opens out with the LED strip lit along the roof edge, and the bench, hood, sink and refrigerator are all in the same positions they were left in.

Real Build Photo
The photograph below is an actual unit on our production floor with the roller shutter fully closed, which is the state the kitchen sits in between uses: the shutter down over the whole front elevation, the frame in its powder-coated dark finish, and the LED strip lit along the roof edge above it. This is the same build the environment visuals above are based on, shown shut rather than open.

Delivery, Siting & Site Requirements
- Ships as one closed module; eight units per 40ft container.
- Needs a level, well-drained base — a timber deck, compacted gravel, pavers or a concrete slab all work; the unit is free-standing and does not need to be built into a retaining structure.
- Requires a supply connection to the siting position for the roller shutter, lighting and appliances; the distribution box is factory fitted and can be configured to the destination market's requirements.
- Allow clearance in front of the unit for the shutter to roll and for the bench to be worked at.
- Suited to salt-air, humid, dusty and freeze-thaw climates, where the powder-coated galvanised frame and aluminium composite wall outperform timber or painted steel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Are you a manufacturing factory or a trading company? Where is your factory located?
A: We are a direct manufacturing factory. Our plant is located in Zhenze Town, Wujiang County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. We welcome global clients and third-party inspection agencies to visit us at any time.
Q2: What is the lifespan of this prefab outdoor kitchen? Is it stable under extreme weather?
A: The galvanised steel frame with an electrostatic powder coat and the aluminium composite outer wall are both specified for outdoor service, and neither will rot, check or delaminate the way timber cladding does. The unit is free-standing and stable on a prepared base, and the electric roller shutter means the fitted kitchen and appliances are not left exposed between uses — which is the part that normally shortens the life of an outdoor kitchen.
Q3: Can the electrical system meet my local country's strict compliance standards?
A: Yes. We regularly export to regions with strict compliance requirements. We can pre-install the wiring, sockets, distribution box and the roller shutter supply to meet specific local certifications (such as CE for Europe or the requirements applicable in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East) to ensure fast sign-off.
Q4: How long does it take to install? Do I need professional engineers?
A: No professional technicians are needed for the unit itself. It arrives as a single fully fitted module: set it on a level base, connect the supply, and the shutter, lighting and appliances are ready to use. We provide installation videos and manuals, and an electrician is only needed for the final connection to local services.
Q5: What is your standard delivery time?
A: Delivery time depends on order quantities, the appliance tier and customization. For standard configurations, delivery preparation generally takes 20 to 30 days after receiving the deposit, plus ocean transit.
Q6: What should I provide to get a customized layout or design scheme?
A: It's very easy! If you have a sketch drawing or reference photo, you can send it to us directly. If not, simply tell us the intended use, the siting position, your preferred appliance tier and any benchtop preference, and our design team will provide a detailed scheme and quotation.
