Expandable Container House Roof Load Test
รายละเอียดกรณี

Project Snapshot

Product: Expandable container house, wood-grain clad panels with black trim
Test type: Live roof load demonstration — 30 adult men standing on the roof
Location: Our production facility, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China
Date: 20 October 2026
Participants: 30 adult men from our assembly and production team
Result: The roof deck carried all 30 men with the roofline and interior ceiling staying flat in the footage.

Why we ran this test

Most expandable container house listings show the unit from the outside: cladding, windows, a door. What buyers actually ask us is different — can the roof take a person walking on it, can it hold a snow load, and does the ceiling inside stay flat once the roof is loaded. Instead of answering with a data sheet, we put 30 adult men on the roof on 20 October 2026 and filmed the whole thing from four positions, including one camera inside the unit.

How the test was set up

  • The unit was fully unfolded and assembled on the factory floor, in the same condition it ships in.
  • A step ladder was placed against the side wall — the normal access route used on site for assembly and roof service.
  • All 30 men went up one at a time and spread out along the full length and depth of the roof instead of clustering in one spot.
  • No props, jacks or temporary supports were used under the unit.
  • No weight was removed from the group to make the shot look better: everyone who took part stayed on the roof.

What the video shows, shot by shot

  • 0:00 – 0:04  The assembly team gathers in front of the unit on the factory floor.
  • 0:04 – 0:10  The first men are already up and walking along the roof.
  • 0:10 – 0:15  Wide side view: the ladder against the wall, a man climbing, the roof edge lined with people.
  • 0:15 – 0:20  Closer side view with the entry door in frame — the full roofline is occupied.
  • 0:20 – 0:24  Inside the unit: the camera tilts up to the ceiling while the roof is under load.
  • 0:24 – 0:28  Wide factory angle showing the unit among neighbouring modules, the group still on the roof.
  • 0:28 – 0:36  Front view of the full group on the roof, all 30 men in frame.

What we observed

  • The roof line stayed straight across the full span — no visible sagging appears in the footage.
  • Wall panels, corner trim, windows and the sliding glass door all remained in place throughout.
  • The interior ceiling, filmed from below while all 30 men were standing on the roof, showed no visible dip or panel separation.
  • Men moved across the roof normally, without bracing or redistributing their weight to protect the deck.
  • For reference: at an average adult weight of 70 kg, 30 men amount to roughly 2.1 tonnes of live load on this roof.

A note on load figures

The 30-man test is a practical demonstration, not a rated capacity. The load a roof can carry depends on the roof build-up, the span, the cladding and the snow zone the unit is going to, so we do not publish one single number for this model. Send us your snow load, wind load and intended use, and we will confirm the roof configuration and the documentation your market requires before you order.
