Tin tức chi tiết

Santiago, Chile. Global Container (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. will exhibit at EDIFICA 2026, Chile's international construction fair, held from 20 to 22 October 2026 at Espacio Riesco, Santiago. The company will present its full range of prefabricated and expandable container houses, together with modular units for job sites, workforce camps and commercial use, at Stand 1-L12.

At Espacio Riesco, 20–22 October 2026

EDIFICA brings together contractors, developers, industrial owners and distributors from across the Chilean market each year. For this edition, Global Container is arriving with a proposition built around the three areas driving local demand: mining and remote workforce camps, site offices and technical facilities, and commercial and hospitality uses such as modular sales suites, outdoor kitchens and cabin accommodation.

The commercial team will be on the stand for all three days of the fair. Visitors can review drawings, floor plan configurations and insulation options for demanding climates, from the northern mining regions to the far south.

What visitors will see at Stand 1-L12

  • Detachable container house: a flat-pack 3 × 6 m module with 50/75/100 mm sandwich panels, 15/18 mm flooring and a galvanised steel frame. It ships flat and is assembled on site, which lowers freight cost per unit.
  • Expandable container house: the module opens on two wings and multiplies the usable floor area within minutes, with no wet trades on site.
  • Flat roof expandable container house: the same expansion logic with a flat roof and a more contemporary finish.
  • X and Z folding container house: folds for transport and unfolds on site — designed for programmes with high rotation and frequent relocation.
  • Luxury container house and Apple Cabin: high-specification modules for hospitality, tourism and leisure accommodation.
  • Prefab outdoor kitchen: the newest addition to the catalogue, available with a hydraulic fold-out canopy or a roll-up shutter, for terraces, poolside areas and staff recreation spaces.

The search terms buyers actually use in Chile

Part of the company's work in Chile has been understanding how each solution is named on local job sites. The same module is searched in very different ways depending on the region and the sector, and that difference changes what a buyer finds:

  • Prefabricated container house: casa contenedor, contenedor habitable, casa prefabricada precio, casa prefabricada Santiago
  • Expandable container house: casa contenedor expandible, casa modular ampliable, contenedor expandible
  • Folding container house: contenedor plegable, casa contenedor plegable, módulo plegable
  • Site office: oficina modular, oficina de obra, oficina prefabricada, container oficina
  • Workforce accommodation: dormitorio de obra, módulo habitacional, campamento minero módulos, mining camp accommodation
  • Site canteen: casino de obra, comedor de faena, casino modular
  • Sanitary units: baño modular, servicios higiénicos modulares, baño de obra
  • Retail and sales: sala de ventas modular, módulo comercial, local contenedor
  • Outdoor kitchen and barbecue area: quincho modular, cocina exterior prefabricada, prefab outdoor kitchen
  • Storage: bodega modular, almacén prefabricado, contenedor bodega

Why container modules suit Chilean job sites

Modular construction solves three concrete problems in Chile: schedule, insulation and transport. Modules leave the factory finished — with electrical installation, linings and sanitary fittings already mounted — and arrive on site to be positioned and connected, without wet trades or large crews on the ground.

For high-altitude or remote camps, the flat-packed format of the detachable module reduces shipping volume and allows the same unit to be moved between two work fronts. For demanding climates, insulation is specified by zone: rock wool, glass wool, EPS, polyurethane (PIR) or magnesium board.

In commercial use, a module lets an operator open a sales suite or service point within weeks and relocate it later. The same applies to tourism projects that need extra cabins without executing structural work on site.

Factory capacity, certification and delivery

Global Container (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. operates with a monthly capacity of 2,000 detachable units and 300 expandable units, and exports to more than 30 countries. The company holds triple ISO certification and CE marking, supplies asbestos-free panels verified for the Australian market, and uses a UL-listed electrical system for the United States.

Quotations are issued under FOB, CIF, DDU and DDP terms, depending on each client's requirement. For Chilean importers and distributors, the company can work from its catalogue configurations or adapt a module to the client's own drawings.

Book a meeting at the stand

Anyone who would like to review a specific project during the fair can arrange a meeting with the commercial team in advance, indicating the intended use, the estimated number of modules and the project location.
